Each clue clues a Smash Bros. fighter “but it’s” a word or phrase formed by inserting a letter into the fighter, possibly with changes in the spacing, punctuation, and/or capitalization:
The extra letters say, KING KOOPA BUT IT’S A WEB VIEWER. This is another clue in the same style as the rest of the puzzle! KING KOOPA is BOWSER, and we can insert a letter to get BROWSER, a tool used to view the web. This also matches the seven blanks at the bottom (which is why we shouldn’t submit just “R”, for example). The answer is BROWSER.
Author’s Notes
We learned during the hunt that the word “Eskimo” is considered offensive in some places. We will try to be more mindful of avoiding it and similar terms in the future.
